Photo exhibition “Cuisine Galactiques” by Sebastien Parmentier during the month of September!

“I’m an astrophysicist, a math professor, a graphic artist and a cook. A proud “renaissance man”.
Having a BBQ this summer, I was preparing a marinade when I discovered (half stoned, maybe) the immense artistic possibilities orchestrated in the bottom of my marinade dish by the density difference between oils and vinegars and the reflection of sunlight onto it. Hence, I decided to capture the photons having a feast on my marinades. All the colors are genuine, no photoshop tweaking, except for mastering the prints. Every subject are… edible.

Because the rendering resembled galactic nebulae, I decided to incorporate some of my sci-fi drawings into some of the shots. And there you have it: a collection of prints evoking Art, science, astral travelling and genuine cooking art.

I hope y’all enjoy this galactic travelling inside my kitchen.”
